Blog revival and a Halloween lucky draw contest! (CLOSED)
Hello my little mudcrabs!
I do admit that this blog has become quite neglected over the summer… oh who am I kidding? I completely forgot about it. So in an attempt to get this train back on the tracks (because according to the stats people are still checking in, or they are just drawn in due to some very weird search terms. ‘ass 640×960′, ‘paper lying on the table’ and ‘ben barnes bikeme a few,) I have decided to have a little lucky draw contest. And since it is October, why not making it Halloween-themed? Here is what you have to do to enter the contest:
Post a comment on this blog entry and tell us about your best Halloween memory. It can be both good and bad. Did you score an amazing bounty after a night of trick or treating as a kid? Or maybe you were the one hiding in the bushes to give those kids a real scare?
The winner will be chosen by random on October 31st and contacted by the e-mail address he or she provided.
The prize you ask? I’ll put together a small collection of Halloween-candy :)

In other news, The Mudcrabs Den now has a Facebook fan-page for your convenience. On this fan-page I will post links to new blog entries, polls and contests. If you do not have a Facebook-account (no one blames you, dude) you can send an e-mail to mudcrabsden@gmail.com with the word ‘Newsletter’ as the subject and then you will be notified by email whenever there is an update on the blog.
I’ll see you later, and I am looking forward to reading your Halloween-stories :D
EDIT: This contest is now CLOSED.The winner will be picked and contacted via email.

Most Halloween activities we’ve had have been pretty much the same – fun, of course.
To pick one that was outstanding from the rest I’d have to choose the year we were in Germany. The celebration there was one of “Mischief” – tricking rather than treating.
In the middle of the night everyone sneaks out and does mischief to the neighbors – nothing is stolen, just … moved to different neighbor’s houses.
So when you wake the next morning everyone has to search for their outside statics – that was the fun part, going through town and trying to find your stuff, greeting the neighbors and laughing as you searched. It was a lot of fun and we met many neighbors we probably wouldn’t have otherwise.
To me, that was my favorite Halloween of all.
Best Halloween memory for me wasn’t even on Halloween. It was about a month or so ago, when myself and friends made and tried on our costumes. The Joker, Scarecrow, Two-Face outfits were all made by me, and it was so much fun. We went out to the shops at 3am all dressed up, and got some of the funniest looks, but God – it was fun!
Helloween? When was that? Down here we’re not crazy for it as the rest of the world :P
Halloween eh? Apart from the fact that I don’t celebrate it, the best memory I have was a halloween a couple of years ago when we actually had some trick or treaters come to my house. Oh the tricks I played on them…
My worst Halloween memory was about 2 years ago. I went over to a friends house for a Halloween party to hang out and whatnot. Little did I know there would be heavy drinking(I’m not a big drinker). I had the option of a cocktail, which looked nasty I might add, or a glass of whiskey. So between the two I picked the whiskey. One glass turned into most of the bottle, and I was more drunk than I ever had been before. I hate not having control over myself, so it was embarrassing and awkward for me.
On top of that, once I got home, I found my car was egged hours before, so I spent the next day, hung over and scraping hardened egg off of my car :(
Hmmm, the best Halloween memory for me would probably be back when I was around 9 years old. Our school was having a Halloween party. They had a haunted house like thing going on though (if I remember correctly) what I believe was the boys locker room in the gym. So I put on my brave face and rushed through the thing like hell was on my heels (my mom following behind somehow got lost in it and it took her 20 mins to find her way to the exit XD) Anyway I make it through to the outside where a bunch of guys were beating the shit out of a rusty old truck. For $5 you got to take a Baseball Bat to it 5 times. I was bored waiting for my mom to come out so I decided to give it a go. I went ape shit on the thing and got the whole group cheering me on. I felt so hardcore at that time. XD
Ahhhh…. Halloween, the day I caught my mum in bed with Colonel Sanders…
Peed in my Barney costume
well my fondest Halloween memory, would have to be when I was living in Dallas Texas,me and my sister went trick or treating,we used grocery bags and our parents took us…well as we were coming home I felt my bag getting lighter and lighter, when I came home my candy was mostly gone, due to a piece of candy cutting a hole out of the bag….well my parents being awesome as they are,we went back to go trick or treating this time we used a pillow cash, and I got alot more candy than before, thus making it a fond memory of mine :D
